Our volunteering program provides Atmus employees across the world with the opportunity to give something back to the communities in which they live and work. Individual employees are supported by our program to devote at least four hours of their time per year to improving people’s lives worldwide. Volunteering activities center around helping to improve education, the environment and equality of opportunity.
A recent example of our volunteers in action was in Daventry in the UK when members of the UK sales team helped to build stalls for a local primary school. The stalls were to be used for a wide variety of ongoing activities and events to help raise much-needed funds for the school.
The team gathered at a dedicated space at our facility in Daventry where all the necessary materials for this type of project are stored. Following instructions provided by the volunteering program, some of the team built the sides and the roof, while others worked on the front and helped assemble all the pieces. The stalls were then sanded and painted before being given to the school.
There was a strong environmental aspect to this particular project too, since the stalls were made from recycled wood, collected from crates and pallets at our plant in Daventry. This is part of a wider initiative to reduce waste in our facilities and in our manufacturing processes, in order to minimize our carbon footprint.
During 2022, more than 3,000 of our employees took part in our volunteering program, giving a total of over 15,000 hours of their time to good causes. Our volunteering program is just one of the ways we enable employees to help protect what is important in line with our company purpose.
