
As Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary at Atmus, Toni manages intellectual property (IP) transactional activities through the conception, drafting and negotiation of high value acquisitions, licenses, Joint Venture agreements, and other processes and policies that protect and add value to the company’s IP portfolio.
Prior to her position at Atmus, Toni served as General Counsel for Cummins Filtration. In 2015, Toni joined Cummins Inc. as Deputy General Counsel and Chief Intellectual Property Counsel, where she was responsible for developing comprehensive global IP strategies. She also counseled on government, regulatory and trade policies that impacted IP rights, and interacted with the invention review committees and brand council, as well as supply chain and advanced concepts groups to identify, harvest, protect and acquire IP rights in the U.S. and around the world.
Toni’s experience includes serving as Senior Counsel in the Washington, D.C. office of a major law firm. Prior to private practice, Toni held various roles at the United States Patent and Trademark Office, including as Deputy Chief of Staff, an IP attaché to the US Embassy in Mexico, an attorney-advisor in the international division, and as an Examiner. Toni earned her law degree from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law and graduated from the University of Colorado, Boulder, with a Bachelor of Science degree in finance and accounting.
